Our 20th Anniversary Celebrations

[19.12.17]

As we approach the end of 2017, so the celebrations of our 20th Anniversary, also come to an end.   We hope that our clients have enjoyed the celebrations; and here is a little reminder of what we have done over the year.

We started in February with a Seminar where Jackie and Andrew set out what the last 20 years have been like.  At this Seminar we also heard from the Futurologist, Mike Ryan, who provided his predictions of the future, including: driver-less cars, people having four or five careers, and the fast-paced move to automating as much as possible, across all industry sectors.

In March we circulated our 20 Business Top Tips .  The topics we covered included: planning, communicating, invoicing, measuring, managing, reviewing, recruiting and ensuring that you have fun!

In April we hosted “20 Matches” – that was 10 wines matched with 10 tapas.  It was a good, fun evening, from what we can remember!

We hosted a night of Music & Canapes at the Wilmslow Symphony Orchestra in June.  The Orchestra was joined by nine-year-old pianist, Leo Bailey-Yang, who, when he was seven, wowed the judges of Britain’s Got Talent by playing Flight of the Bumblebee blindfolded.

In July we circulated our 20 Top Tips for Business Owners to Stay Sane.  The themes we explored included: planning, using experts, taking time away from the business, embracing the madness, looking after yourself, and having fun!

We picked up the themes that Mike Ryan discussed back in February, at our September Seminar “Robots don’t have Personalities”.  Our speaker was Laughologist and stand-up comedian, Kerry Leigh.  It was a thought-provoking evening, which included an exercise entitled woof, two three!

We finished off our year of celebrations with our annual Christmas Party on the Drive, which included: beer from Mobberley Brewhouse; pizza from Wilmslow based Wood, Fire, Smoke; prosecco on tap from Lytham Fizz; and music from Wilmslow’s Ewan Sim.  It was quite a night; and we were very pleased that so many clients, friends and neighbours braved the terrible weather to join us.
