Small Business Advice Week

[20.08.17]

4th to 10th September is Small Business Advice Week. Started 14 years ago, the week was set up to help the country’s 4.5 million SMEs thrive in tough times, with advice from leading experts and businesses across Britain.

The theme for 2017 is growth and productivity, with the week set to see leading experts and businesses provide advice on how SMEs can maximise growth and productivity in 2018.

This year, the key partners taking part are: The Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales (ICAEW), EDF Energy, RateSetter, XLN, D-Link, 123 Reg, Kashflow, 9Spokes, and Barracuda.

Representatives from these organisations will meet at the Small Business Advice Week seminar on Thursday 31st August, hosted by the The Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales (ICAEW). The insight and advice generated from this seminar will then be disseminated via industry journalists and publications to SMEs.

Events are also being organised across the country to celebrate Small Business Advice Week and give opportunities for networking and sharing of information and advice. It’s worth having a search online to see what might be happening in your area – unfortunately the Small Business Advice Week website doesn’t list local events so it’s a case of searching them out. Some that have already been announced are below, but more are being announced as the week draws closer.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for useful information and advice arising from Small Business Advice Week and we will pass on anything useful in future newsletters. And don’t forget our seminar on 21st February at The Pinewood Hotel where we’ll be passing on our own advice to our clients.
