COVID-19 – Self-Employment Income Support Scheme Third Grant

The third Self Employment Income Support Scheme opened for claims on 30th November.  The deadline for making a claim is 29th January 2021.

To be eligible to make a claim for the third grant your business must have been impacted by COVID-19 on or after 1st November 2020.  You can make a claim for the third grant, regardless of whether you claimed for the first or second grants.

You must make the claim yourself – HMRC has stipulated that accountants are unable to make the claim on behalf of their clients.

To make the claim you will need your:

  • Self Assessment Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR)
  • National Insurance number
  • Government Gateway user ID and password
  • UK bank details including account number, sort code, name on the account and address linked to the account.  Only provide bank account details where a Bacs payment can be accepted.

You may also need to answer questions about your passport, driving licence or information held on your credit file.
