Companies House has started to email all Directors and People with Significant Control (PSCs) requesting their identities are verified. Indeed you may have already received such an email. This is a mandatory requirement as part of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 to help prevent people using companies for illegal purposes. The process to verify your identify takes around 10 minutes and you will need your passport or driving licence to hand. We would encourage clients to verify their identity as soon as possible, in preparation for the mandatory deadline of 18th November 2025.
