Our speaker is Alison Stuart, the North West Agent of the Bank of England. We last met Alison 18 months ago – and a lot has changed since then!
Alison started her career at the Bank of England in 1986. Her roles included support for external members of the Monetary Policy Committee, various roles in Monetary Analysis, Statistics and International, and representing the UK delegation to the IMF and World Bank. Alison has also worked at HM Treasury; and at the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC, where she was a Division Chief in the Asia Pacific Department and held positions in the Strategy Policy and Review Department.
Alison has a first degree in economics from Sheffield University and a master’s degree from Birkbeck University of London.
Her qualifications and extensive experience enable Alison to provide a highly informative and interesting economic briefing for our clients.
