Our Response to COVID-19

[16.03.20]

During these unprecedented times, should a client prefer to re-arrange a meeting with us, we fully understand, and are happy to do so.  We are also happy to hold virtual meetings via Skype or simply over the telephone and remember you can approve most important documents via our online portal, Virtual Cabinet.

Companies House has announced that should it become apparent that accounts will not be filed on time due to your company being affected by COVID-19, the company’s directors may make an application to extend the period allowed for filing.  In addition HMRC has announced a telephone support line for businesses and the self-employed concerned about meeting VAT payment deadlines due to COVID-19.  Options, at HMRC’s discretion may include: agreeing an instalment arrangement; suspending debt collection proceedings; and cancelling penalties and interest.

These are challenging times, and the Government is telling us all to prepare for things to get worse before they get better.  Should your business start to see the effects of these challenges, and you require additional help and support, please contact either Jackie or Andrew so we can advise you on the best steps to take.

In the meantime we wish you well during this difficult time.
